Marol High School provides a Nigerian-based education programme and it is located within Lagos State, and as such follows the directives issued from the Lagos Ministry of Education.

In line with the Nigerian education structure, our students encounter two clear stages to their education: Junior Secondary Education (Basic 7, 8 and 9) and Senior Secondary Education (S.S.S.1,2 and 3).

The school offers the following subjects at the junior secondary level (BASIC 7-9) in accordance with the state and federal government educational policy.

BASIC 7-9

The subjects offered at English Language, Mathematics, Basic Science, Basic Technology, Social Studies, Home Economics, History, Agricultural Science, Physical and Health Education, Business Studies, Information Technology, Civic Education & Security education, Cultural & Creative Art, French, Literature-in-English, Yoruba.

The school offers the following subjects at the junior secondary level (BASIC 7-9) in accordance with the state and federal government educational policy.

S.S.S 1-3

At the senior secondary level (SSS 1-3) the subjects are divided into various departments as follows:

  • Core Subjects for all Students
    • Mathematics, English Language, Civic Education, Economics, Information and Communication Technology, Marketing
  • For Science Students, the following subjects apply
    • Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Further Mathematics, Food and Nutrition, Geography, Agricultural Science
  • For Arts students, the following subjects apply
    • Government, Literature-in-English, Christian Religious Studies, Yoruba Language, History
  • For Commercial Students, the following subjects apply
    • Financial Accounting, Office Practice, Commerce, Further Mathematics, Government

Helping our students to dig into their Creative minds and develop their critical thinking skills through their areas of interest is a priority at Marol High School. We believe that every one of our students should have passions that continue beyond their time with us. Therefore, we provide a wide range of exciting co-curricular activities.

OUR CLUBS & SOCIETIES

We have several clubs and societies and our students are required to belong to at least two of them. These clubs are:

CHAPEL

Every Friday, we have our chapel meeting where the students gather to be taught God’s word and spend quality time in prayer and fellowship with God.

ACCOLADE ASSEMBLY

This is a special assembly held once every 2nd and 3rd term to celebrate the academic accomplishments of the students. The students are given different category of awards in the presence of their parents/guardians who are invited to grace the occasion and celebrate with their wards. This assembly has become the most anticipated event of every term.

SPORTS

Students at Marol High School have ample opportunities for undertaking sporting activities. We believe that sport and fitness are vital in holistic education, providing lifelong pleasure and fulfillment, relaxation and exercise, self-esteem and team spirit. Inter-house sports are held biennially.

EXCURSIONS

The most memorable learning experiences often place outside the classroom. Marol High School have the opportunity to be involved in Field Trips to industrial and historical sites in Nigeria.

DEBATES & PUBLIC SPEAKING

Marolites are known for their self-confidence and ability to communicate effectively. They are given opportunities to make presentations on the assembly everyday on several topics. They also engage in inter-house debate competitions which have helped to develop their speaking and oratory skills.
